Admission to this course is open to all candidates having M.A./M.Sc. Degree (passed/appearing) from a recognized university in India or abroad with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks/equivalent grade in the following subjects: Anthropology, Bio-statistics, Economics, Geography, Health Statistics, Mathematics, Political Science, Population Education, Psychology, Rural Development, Social Work and Sociology, Statistics. The upper age limit is 28 years as on 30 June.

On the basis of a common entrance test and personal interview.(Refer ootnote-2)
