One year full-time, tenable at the Institute.
Candidates having Ph.D. degree in Population Studies or subjects related with Population, Health, Gender, and Development are eligible to apply. Eligible foreign candidates can also apply for admission, provided they secure financial support from any outside agency. Female candidates are encouraged to apply for P.D.F.
Publication in peer reviewed journal, publication of books, and research reports. The upper age limit is 40 years as on 30th June on the year of application.
Candidates apply online. However, they are required to send a hard copy of comprehensive research proposal to the Institute. Selection is made based on the proposal presentation and Interview. Foreign students are exempted from personal interview. The Institute does not bear travel expense of the candidates called for the presentation and interview.
All selected candidates are paid to-and-fro economy class air-fare expenses at the time of joining and completing the programme as per GOI norm only. All selected candidates are required to stay at the Institute as a full-time research fellow.
There are Five (5) GOI Fellowships available. The selected Indian candidates can be awarded a Government of India fellowship @ Rs. 50,000/- per month initially for one year only and is extendable for one more year on genuine case.
