This research seeks to conduct a thorough investigation into the intricate landscape of population trends within India. The primary focus is on a nuanced comparative analysis, discerning disparities between states distinguished by robust demographic indicators and those portraying comparatively weaker trends. The primary objective of this research paper is to delve into the complex process of demographic transition in India, with a specific focus on the various states exhibiting both robust and weaker demographic trends. The exploration of demographic transition phases will offer insights into the evolving population dynamics within the country. The overarching goal is to understand and analyze the factors contributing to the observed variations in demographic trends among different states. The study aims to undertake a detailed exploration of the demographic transition phases, identifying key milestones and shifts in birth and death rates over the period from 1991 to 2022. Methodologically, the study will adopt a comprehensive approach primarily based on secondary data sources to achieve the outlined objectives.
